BINGO Blitz is the genre-leading bingo game, with 5 million monthly active users across Facebook, iOS, Android and Kindle.
Initially – for about the first 6 months after joining Buffalo Studios – I lead both the Creative and Product on this project.
During this period the company has doubled revenue, has gone through an acquisition by casino giant Caesars Interactive Entertainment, a leadership transition, and a product migration to an all-new, Flash / AIR based technology platform that allowed us to deploy to multiple platforms using a single, common code-base.
Subsequently I lead the Creative team, overseeing content creation and other strategic initiatives.
I delivered several of the best-performing content releases in the game’s history, including a series of Elvis-themed BINGO rooms.
The collaboration with Elvis Presley Enterprises was particularly interesting, as it required a somewhat novel take on how the content was made (due to extra approval requirements, a much more involved creative process for the voice-over and music, more reference-based art direction, new features and marketing materials, etc.)
We even got to visit Graceland, which yielded one of the funnest set of travel photos I have ever taken, even though I was merely trying to capture as much reference as possible.
Apart from all that, in this particular case I unfortunately have to refrain from providing the usual candid, behind-the-scenes look into the nitty-gritty details of the project, due to certain contractual obligations.
