Over the past several months I have done quite a bit of AI-powered creative and technical work, presentation and education within the advertising space.
Few industries have embraced AI as enthusiastically as advertising, with very formidable results.
The reel below is a compilation of some of the raw video material I have done. They focus on the effects, without incorporating final branding and polish, narration, editing, overlays, and sound.
They are intended for social media platforms – TikTok, YouTube Shorts, Instagram – where super high fidelity is secondary to a striking, quirky and attention-grabbing quality that disrupts the infamous doom-scrolling behavior.
Many of these sequences were created on-the-spot, hackathon-style, as part of workflow demonstrations at several of Meta‘s Reels Villa events (in Miami, London, and New York) that brought together major brands and advertising partners.
The immediacy and near real-time flow of this process was a special experience that elevated the medium to something bordering on live performance, a form of DJ’ing with visuals.
And even though some of the clips started off with reference images and footage shot on-location with real models, every frame you see here is 100% generated – even if it still looks like real footage. 😉
